There are few experiences more exhilarating than getting up close and personal with the beautiful animals that share our world. As cities and populations grow, seeing wildlife in our day to day lives is becoming increasingly rare, which is why many people chose to vacation with the animals. There are many options available. Check out My Advenutre Store tour to see some of what is on offer and also to get an idea on prices.

Here are 5 of the most amazing animal adventures on the planet.

Swimming with the Sharks in South Australia

There are few experiences that will come close to the excitement of swimming with the sharks. This is one for your bucket list. Shark cage diving with the Great White Shark is a once in a lifetime opportunity to swim alongside one of nature’s most feared animals. Audio vibrations are used to attract the sharks to the boat. Once they arrive you have the choice to swim with the sharks in a hardened steel cage or take in the sights from the boat

Tours set off from Port Lincoln and travel the 70 kilometres to a bay at Neptune Island, known as ‘shark bay’. You will see stunning scenery along the way as you travel through the Thorny Passage, including a plethora of sea birds as well as playful dolphins.

African Wildlife Safaris

There are few experiences as awe-inspiring as an African safari. You can immerse yourself in the animal kingdom, seeing elephants, hippos, lions, cheetahs, leopards, flamingos and more. Kenya is home to some of the finest game parks and national reserves in Africa and some of the best and most luxurious lodge accommodation. National Reserves are worth supporting as they have been especially established to protect wildlife from the threat of hunters. If you travel between December and March you will get to take in one of the greatest spectacles on earth: the migration of the wildebeest and the zebras. Over 1 million wildebeest and hundreds of thousands of zebras cross the plains at this time.

Galapagos

The Galapagos Islands are a wildlife wonderland. Iguanas sun themselves on volcanic rocks, sea lions play in the waters, giant tortoises are found on land and underwater, and over 169 species of birds are known to inhabit the island. Wildlife is not timid here, so you really can get incredibly close to the exotic animals that inhabit this spectacular area.

Grizzly Bears, Alaska

Grizzlies make their way to Alaskan rivers each year for the salmon. They gather in huge numbers at pools and rapids ready to hook out the tasty salmon with their deadly claws. Many National Parks have viewing platform where you can take in this spectacle of nature.

The Monarchs of Mexico

Every year millions of North American butterflies migrate thousands of miles to the fir forests of the Transvolcanic Mountain Ranges. They cluster on tree trunks, bushes and on the ground in a profusion of glorious colour. This is sight that will stay in your memory for a lifetime.
