Lots of people keep asking us where we’re going next and how we choose the places we go, so I thought it’d be fun to talk about that stuff here, on TravelBugJuice.com. It’s been a crazy year so far: I’ve just returned from an amazing trip to Israel (pic above) and three of our writers are currently finishing up guidebooks.. what’s next?
Coming in 2012
Mexico
Go! Girl Guides: Mexico; a Woman’s Guide to Traveling in Mexico, has an estimated publication date of July 1.
Why Mexico? I’m based out of Tucson, Arizona, and Mexico is just a short 30 minute drive away. I’ve spent a lot of time across the border, and Mexico gets a pretty bad rep. There are some areas of Mexico that are unsafe, yes. But there are also a ton of areas of Mexico that are beautiful, welcoming and warm. We focused mainly on South and Central Mexico for this book, and have created itineraries that will show you the country, off the beaten path, and help you to stay safe at the same time.
Argentina
Ahh, Argentina. The magical South American country of asado and wine was one of our first choices for a guidebook.
Why Argentina? Argentina is a beautiful country, which is largely safe provided you keep your wits about you. This book delves extensively into how to see the most of the country on the cheap, and what to watch out for. It’s an amazing place, which can pose some challenges for female travelers, and that’s why we picked it.

Costa Rica
The surf, the jungle, the plant life: we love Costa Rica. Our Go! Girl Guides: Costa Rica guidebook has an estimated publication date of March, 2013.
Why Costa Rica? We’ve been hooked on Costa Rica for a long, long time. The surf, the people… I’ve been googling costa rica vacation deals in my bedroom since I made the decision to do a guidebook, and one of the things I love most about Costa Rica is that it attracts visitors of all ages. We’ll be visiting the country in February, and can’t wait!
India
Go! Girl Guides: India; a Woman’s Guide to Traveling in India might just be our most important yet. It has an estimated publication date of June, 2013.
Why India? India can be an incredibly overwhelming place to travel, and is one of the most intimidating, yet popular, travel destinations for women. We’re so excited about this one! This book will help to break down India in an easily digestible way, giving you key insider tips that will help you have the best experience possible.
Belize
We’re planning on releasing Go! Girl Guides: Belize in November 2013.
Why Belize? It’s beautiful and enchanting and small enough to cover quickly. Belize is one of those places you just don’t forget, and is among the list of growing popular travel destinations.
