Airports You Can Still Smoke In

by Kelly on December 10, 2013

Regardless of your personal preferences when it comes to smoking, there are times when you’re traveling and you just really need a cigarette.

Airport smoking lounges are becoming more and more rare, but they still exist in these cities.

Atlanta

If you’re a smoker, Atlanta is the absolute best airport to connect in. Every concourse has at least two smoking lounges: in Concourse B near gates 7 and 24; at Concourse C near gates 16 and 26; around gates 16 and 26 in Concourse D; and in Concourse E near gates 9, 17, and 29. If an alcoholic beverage is what you’re looking for, the Budweiser Brewhouse & Smoking Lounge in the center of Concourse A has you covered. God bless Atlanta!

Denver

Denver used to be our favorite smoking airport, but since the Mesquite Lounge (an awesome Mexican restaurant with a fireplace and free wi-fi) is no-longer a smoking space, it’s fallen a bit on our list. Regardless, you can still visit the Smokin’ Bear Smoking Lounge in the C gates, but there’s a $5 drink minimum to enter.

Tampa

Tampa is one of the only airports that will let you get some fresh air while smoking, without the hassle of checking back through security. There are smoking patios at Airside A, C, E and F. From the Landside Terminal, go out any exit door on Level 1, Level 2 or the Smoking Patio on Level 3.

DC

If you’re a smoker, the nation’s capital has your back. There are smoking lounges throughout the airport: in concourse B, across from B37, in concourse C, across from C2, and in concourse D, across from D30.

Cincinnati/ Northern Kentucky

Light up in the Graycliff Lounge in concourse B, near gate 11. The lounge has a $6 fee, which includes a beverage, and there’s opportunities for you to buy cigarettes and cigars as well. There’s also a smoking lounge in the ticketing level of the terminal.

Nashville

For $4, you can smoke in Nashville’s Graycliff Lounge, located near gates B-9 and C-10.
